The Congressional Budget Office estimate says that if Obama’s February budget submission for FY2012 were enacted into law it would produce deficits totaling $9.5 trillion - an average of almost $1 trillion a year, whereas Obama’s budget foresaw deficits totaling $7.2 trillion over the same period.
The difference is chiefly because CBO has a less optimistic estimate of how much the government will take in from tax revenues, partly because the administration has rosier economic projections.
The Senate is also worried about the president’s budget numbers.
This exchange between Jeff Sessions, the Republican Senator from Alabama, and Heather Higginbottom, the new nominee for Deputy Director of OMB, is from Higginbottom’s confirmation hearing, which took place yesterday. Sessions grills Higginbottom about Obama’s budget, and she has difficulty spewing the "party line" - Group912.org/obudget.html
RINO Watch: We can on pray that Speaker Boehner and his leadership group will wake up and see the folly of the "catch up" game they are engaged in ?
Obama is going to spend until you FORCE him to Stop - not ask, not negotiate, simply FORCE - Obama will respond to nothing less, and if you think he will, ask yourself why he would send forward a budget with $ TRILLION Dollar deficits every year for the next ten years and then look the America people in the eye and say "we will not be adding to the debt" ? isn't that what we used to call a bold face lie ?
Speaker Boehner : there are 192 "D"s in the 112th House and we think it is a fairly safe bet to assume they will be 192 YES votes to raise the debt ceiling ...
That means they need only 25 "R" "can't we all just get along" useful idiots to hand Obama his new unlimited Credit Card so he can get back to his true priority, which is spending - it matters not on what or for who, as long as the beneficiaries are Obama voters .
So, Mr. Speaker, you have a clear choice; either vote with the Socialist Progressives (formerly known as Democrats) and hand Obama that golden card, OR, listen to the people who sent you to Washington, and vote NO on raising the Debt Ceiling, which will bring Obama to his fiscal knees and force legitimate budget discussions.
Your job as leader of the House GOP is to bring your party together to stop the insane spending and you will not ever have a better opportunity than this.
